After watching the crash between Verstappen and Hamilton at the weekend you have to ask if Verstappen is becoming a danger to other drivers

Hamilton was clearly ahead into the turn yet Verstappen didn’t break and proceeded to hit the curb and his car’s rear bounced on top of Hamilton’s Mercedes. The Halo saving Hamilton’s head from being crushed.

Now I know they had a coming together in an earlier race which Hamilton received a time penalty yet was able to finish the race where Verstappen hit the barrier and his race was finished.

The Stewards have punished Verstappen with a penalty of 3 places at the next race but he is becoming reckless.

Someone is gonna get seriously hurt if they let it continue.

"In 2016, he was found guilty of one charge of rape and one charge of indecent treatment of a child then aged six.[8] In September, an appeal by Brabham against the conviction was unanimously rejected by the Queensland Court of Appeal.[12] He was sentenced to 18 months in jail, but was released after 6 months"

Sentenced to 18 months for child rape? WTF?

On the (very) quiet, I would hope Mercedes would offer Bottas a substantial bonus every time he runs Verstappen off the road between now and the end of the season.

Two things about the whole "Hamilton put Verstappen in hospital and then celebrated the win" thing:

1) Verstappen was sent to hospital as a precautionary measure, he wasn't unconscious/at death's door/in a coma

2) Hamilton asked how Verstappen was over the radio immediately after the accident

Compare/contrast with Verstappen walking off with his car still parked on Hamilton';s head...

Re: Verstappen
I remember having to do bomb it to Heathrow to deliver some kind of shit to go onto Jack Brabham's kit (I can't even remember the cunts name but I liked his dad) during my stint a a dispatch rider.

Got to the terminal and they announced his name. A couple of minutes later he turns up with the raving hump being temporarily ushered out of the VIP room.

I said 'wow I had to ride like a madman to give you these patches' and he just snatched them and said 'yeah well you fucking found me now'.

As he walked off I shouted 'mate, come back as you have to sign for them' and he came back looking like he wanted to punch me.

As he was signing for the package I said ' I really fucking hope you are involved in a crash on Sunday and die you cunt'.

The moral of the story is no matter who your dad was you're eventually going to run into a West Ham supporter.

Re: Verstappen
Trends,

Horner does seem to be a bit of mincer, and does do a lot of crying and moaning.

Some on here have said Hamilton and Verstappen should be more like that 'nice' Australian, Ricciardo. I guess that the two of them are more interested in winning than being nice. You might not like them but fuck can the two of them drive. Different gravy.

Christian Horner is a bit of a fist. Can you imagine breakfast in their house. Probably eating gooseberry and cinnamon yoghurt.

Although, he could we be smashing Geri all over the gaff which you can't knock him for.

A bit off tangent, but Christian Horner comes across as a complete FIST.

I'm not an F1 man, but I can get why many do like it. I've never really been interested in cars, so probs why. Back on topic, I do think that this rivalry is good for the game, like a modern day Prost/Senna. Lauda/Hunt. Let them kill each other for all I would give a fuck.

Exactly. It's great. People moan the sport is boring when it is boring. Then when it gets exciting people like Nutsin moan its dangerous.

The blokes driving those cars are a different breed. They have no fear. It sometimes causes crashes. That's part of its pull.

Re: Verstappen
The overtake was there for him to try and achieve. Loads of drivers overtook in the same spot that day. It's just one of those things. If Verstappen had slowed slightly more and Hamilton had given more room then they go round without a hitch, but they didn't and so what happened was the inevitable conclusion.

If it was another two drivers from back down the grid it would be a racing incident. As its those two then people make more of it. It's like all the great rivalries down the years, when they come together it's magnified.

There's a certain art to combining the two, I have to admit.

This is getting to Senna/Prost and Schumacher/Hill/ Villeneuve territory.
Verstappen and, to a lesser extent, Hamilton appear sort of OK with crashing if it takes the other guy out.
If Verstappen is ahead in the championship at the last race and the two are dicing the end result is inevitable.

I love the bone headed stupidity
Verstappen ends up in the hospital one week and Hamilton ends up with a car on top of his head the next.
Am sure we will get all the usual sobbing cliches when one kills the other ..... or they both fit in a matchbox after a fireball bbq's the pair of them.

Re: Verstappen
I'm loving it. Love the needle. Love the competition.

If Hamilton backs off and let's him through, like nearly every other driver would, including the 'nice' Mr Ricciardo, then Verstappen will have Hamilton's number and he might as well retire. But Hamilton doesn't give a fuckin inch, even though he knows it could get nasty. And indeed did get nasty. A couple of inches away from decapitation.

Say what you like about Hamilton and Verstappen, but they've both got balls of steel.
